A model in between shoots. Not sure what she was thinking, but there seemed to be many thoughts behind those eyes. Painted with Transparent Oxide Red and Ultramarine Blue Deep, and white. Limited palettes can be constraining and liberating at the same time.

Rhode Island artist Beth Johnston conveys the beautiful balance of light and shadow in her landscape, still life, and figurative paintings.
